The Lights Are Officially On.
tap tap…. Is this thing on?
Wow, here we go again. I’ve been doing online content for… 16 years now I think? Not all in one place of course, and certainly not consistently. I started my longest YouTube endeavor with my Cosmichris5 channel in December 2010, when I got rolling with it I said OK this will be fun to do in High-School then I’ll call it quits and move on with life.
Well that wasn’t quite where it ended, I ran that channel for almost 8 years, and managed to crank out fairly consistent content the whole time be it letsplays, live streaming or short vlogs. I finally laid that channel to rest in September 2017, as a recent college grad with a burgeoning IT Career I figured it was a good stopping point. Not Really, But Kinda…
See that same Summer of ‘17 Terry Johnson and I put together what was supposed to the the Otlichno SMP Podcast, in reality it became the infamous GoBicker. For the next 3-4 years we’d put out consistently inconsistent podcast content, shorts, and one off content. Really it was a lot of fun to be involved in, but I get why it never really got off the ground. A lot of poor taste comedy, inconsistent uploads and general nonchalance was the name of the game and ultimately we called it quits with Covid(well… we went on a few times after that, but were retconning anything after 20-21).
So anyway I’ve had a few years off now barring a few popup projects I quickly lost interest in and a few ‘Bicker reboots. Until a few months ago.
As it turns out this kinda thing never really leaves your system, once you get in you cant get out. Terry, Kitt and I have all said year after year, project after project THIS. IS. IT. No More! And we keep falling back into it after a year or so. Well, we seem to be Stuck On The Internet, why fight it?
The last few months the three of us have sat down and REALLY pooled our creative energy, and what we’ve made is nothing short of spectacular. I’ve known Kitt for literally a decade this week, and Terry is not far behind him, we’ve worked on projects large and small together but this is an entirely different beast. Motivation, passion and talent are all here, and we are ready to take on the world.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes not to create another silly YouTube project, but a living, breathing creative effort. We have worked hard to lay the groundwork to bring you some FANTASTIC content, we have three brand new shows lined up for you to enjoy:
Good Morning, Good Night - The entire foundation of our friendship is really based on talkshow style podcasts, so of course we’re launching with one. Join Terry, Kitt and I every other week for a behind the scenes look at working to get a podcast company off the ground, with your favorite classic rants mixed in.
Pip-Bois - I will never escape talking about Fallout, so we made it a show. Kitt and I sit down to, initially discuss the Fallout show episode by episode, and then discuss the Fallout world at large.
Super Serious - Last but not least, my own brainchild. This is my first ever run at a serialized podcast, bear with me as a get things figured out, but this is a TON of fun to make and I really feel that it shows in the end product. I get to sit down with guests once a month and go down tangential rabbit holes about a wild range of not-so-serious topics.
So, all that to say. The website is now live. Not that it really matters at this point given that we aren’t announcing this for probably another week, and then another few days before any content goes up, but the principles.
We’re going to do some great things here, and I hope you all enjoy the ride.
We’re all Stuck On The Internet, lets have fun.
Chris.
